Corey Helford Gallery trip featuring: Jared and Pj!

so Jared and I (Pj) are going to the Corey Helford Gallery this evening for the above mentioned show. i, for one, am excited because the art looks pretty damn nice.

Dave Burke's work kinda reminds me of Looney Tunes gone wrong and Mia's reminds me of the work of, Castlevania concept artist, Ayami Kojima (a personal favorite artist of mine.)

and so, our journey shall begin at around 6:30ish when i pick up Jared and we quest into the depths of Culver City and decend upon this show like the artistic vultures that we are.

if you happen to be headed there say hello and we may just say hello back.

I have no direct response to "The Germination".

Perry is a friend of mine and sam too :)
I work(ed) with them and worked(ed)(ing) with them later too! :) ;) :p
But YEs! (S!) We are working on newings in art, but them is no is being comics, though! ;p

Momentarily we have shifted gears to attempt "fine art" (laugh). Were it not for an immediate purpose for our shift, comics would still be our focus. However, said purpose has been presented with such immediance that we have indeed shifted as needed. Furthermore, we still have comics to finish and will down-shift (car) once our immediate purpose has been filled. In conclusion, once the immediacey of our immediate purpose has been shifted from immediate, we will shift from the immediate purpose to the comics.

German Nation? NO! no...no, no that is not a reference to The Germs either, not that i've even ever been to that country or listened to that band.
in fact when i'm not listening to The Mars Volta or various 60's music my current obsession is the 30's/40's/50's oldies as in Billie Holiday, The Ink Spots etc. (probably due to both my exposure to it by my parents as a youngin' and Fallout 3)

I Wonder If I'm the Only Person In the World Who Gets Scared When They Make a Wrong Move on Freecell...

It gets me everytime (thanks Mom: as if debilitating social phobias weren't enough I am also afraid of sharp noises... oh and when I see my shadow in the alley).

Yes, I blame my parents for eerrything (<---included).

But no, I don't blame my parents for anything; I am an adult (18+) and have to take responseblity (<---included) for my own actions.

Thusly, YES. And Yes!!! I am a "Prodigal Son", although I mean that allegorically, not literally (just like the Bible ;P ). But I do not appreciate that I AM!!! (God). (Blashpemy (<---included) (Pun) (thanks Mom)).

But is this what they wanted? No! I am nothing but a failure in comparison to Sam and PJ (Pee-Yay!) While they went ahead and got BETTER at drawing and coloring and staying inside the lines, I plumitted... from GOD-LIKE ABILITY to mere REMARKABLE TALENT.

But NO! I do not say "YES!"

I say "NO!"

Because for us all to get better, we must get back to what is important in life. Like that man said:

But that's beside(s) the point... which upon closing... never truely got sharpened...

life is too fucking short

so Jared started this little thing with the top 4 frames, then Sam did himself and I (Pj) did my bottom 4 frames and then Sam finished his other 3. it was kind of a simple thing where we each drew all 3 of us, but i personally liked how it came out...very telling of our interactions and an interesting way to mix up the whole "switching off" dynamic.

on the actual news front us Aorta VI folk have been a little discouraged by the lack of enthusiasm for our works, but we are doing much in the way of innovation and evolution. the above is a little taste of that as are the videos on the right side of this post. we've also dabbled in a little music which can be found on our myspace.

ultimately our output is gauged by our past successes, and thus far there has only been marginal success, and discouragement has begun to set in.

so if you are out there and still believe in Aorta VI please start leaving comments and becoming a little more involved and i will make that same pledge. 

because without many we are small, but with an Aorta VI base, we can spread far and wide in the name of depravity, intelligence, art and weirdness everywhere.

First sale outside of Cali!!! and issue two comin' round the mountain...

Well, despite the challenges of placing an item for sell on ebay, I bit the bullet and took the five-or-so minutes to do it; and gold was struck in the form of M. G. Kneisel of Oklahoma. Our first official sell outside of the South Bay area was to a man with the same last name as Perry (any relation is unknown(!!!)). It is this man, this M. G. Kneisel, who has made Aortic history and purchased our magazine, plus postage, from our ebay listing and will be the first man EVER to have a copy of Aorta VI issue 1 outside of California!
By the way I listed another one last night... So be the NEXT PERSON TO reMAKE HISTORY and get our magazine off ebay! (no pressure)

More interestingly, we have reached a water mark (made by our greasy bodies bathing each other under a hot lamp and with no fan) and are going to start work on issue two! If there are any comments and/or suggestions that you would like to make, or if you just like being ignored, please feel free to email them to us, or call, or something (pigeon?) and we will consider it!
Already we are thinking of doing more collaborative art pieces (not just comics), making the issue longer, and even having other medium included and/or available ("Aorta"-stamped Norwals anyone!?!?!?).

In conclusion, don't forget to clean the dryer lint from the trap!

We went to the Demasiado show and the Comicbug signing, but we still want more people to "upgrade" from marginal interest to writhing sex fiend. We WANT YOU to use our Magazine for sexual pleasure! It will titilate you everytime your TIT IS LATE! It will blow you everytime it is BELOW YOU! (Burt Reynolds) And when Aunt Flow comes to visit, just slap her in the FANNY(!) with AORTA VI ISSUE I!!! Aboot da t'ursday meeting

Weell, Thursday has passed, and the scheduled (Shed-you-'L'-ed) meeting has since been adjourned. There was much picture-making and much jokery followed by much laughter... except when I made a joke, then followed silence, melancholy, and repressed rage. (I need to learn to shut my mouth again... thanks Dad.)

Waht!?!

The First Issue was a huge topic as the evening began to wind down. New content was added to the originally proposed content (since Sam is now here), and a fresh (Prince of Bel-Aire) order (1,2,3...) was conceived, Perry then became our collective surrogate as we funneled our semens and sperms into his eager beaver (meaning his pussy), except none of that happened.

I like Kurt Vonnegut... sometimes.

So the first issue is creeping toward actual printing, and the neked realization that we might actually complete something is getting nekeder and nekeder. I for one am marginally and decidedly excited... but that wont get in our way I assure you!

The main discussion was about how many to print, so if there are any people who know that they would like to have (meaning buy) one (plus) copy of the First Issue let us know and we will print one (plus) for you specifically!

WAHT!?!?!

Well we are working on the first issue still, but it is coming together nicely. The first and latest official meeting (last night) was both eventful and tedious. Many issues were discussed and each participant chewed vigorously on the gristle of every meaty topic and spat large hunks of proposals onto the figurative "table" of discussion. Needless to say, nothing got done.

However, a golden scepter was established, and the mutual feeling of accomplishment was well groomed by the end of the first and latest official meeting, and another is scheduled for Thursday evening. This time, au contraire, some actual Aorta VI issue 1 completion work is evident!
